Shed Index is run by one person, so email is the only channel — but it is read, and a wrong figure gets fixed faster than anything else in the inbox.
What is worth writing about
- A figure that looks wrong. This is the most useful mail we get. Every snow load figure on the site names its source and the date it was checked; if you have a state or county document that says something different, send it and the page gets corrected.
- A county we have not covered. Verified snow loads are being added state by state. Knowing which counties people actually look up changes the order they get done in.
- A specification that has changed. Manufacturers revise listings. If a shed's dimensions, rated load or included floor no longer match what we show, tell us.
- Privacy requests. Access to, correction of, or deletion of any account you hold here. See the privacy policy for what we store and for how long.
- Advertising and content complaints. Including an ad you believe should not be running on this site.
What we cannot help with
We are not a retailer and we hold no orders. If you have bought a shed, your order, delivery, returns and warranty are between you and the seller — we cannot look any of it up, cancel it, or intervene with the manufacturer on your behalf.
We also cannot tell you whether a particular shed is safe to erect at your address. That is a question for the manufacturer and your local building department, both of which know things about your site and your local code that a published table does not. See the terms of use.
Response times
There is no support team behind this address and no guaranteed reply time. Corrections to published figures are prioritised over everything else, because a wrong number on a public page is the one problem here that can cost somebody real money.
